Cassandra Freeman, Ph.D., Practicum Counseling Student
Hi there and welcome!
My name is Cassandra Freeman, and I’m glad you’re here. I serve at Marriage Center as the Administrative Director, as well as a Clinical Psychology Intern, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Practicum Student, and Behavior Analysis Student.
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Positive Psychology and am currently continuing my training through a third master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, while also pursuing certification in Behavior Analysis. My education includes study at East Carolina University, Capella University, and Old Dominion University, and is supported by ongoing training and clinical assessments that help clients better understand how they think, feel, and function. As part of my work, I am completing advanced training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, which strengthens parent-child relationships through connection and communication, and I am currently training in SYMBIS, a guided process for premarital couples.
At the heart of my work is walking alongside people as they heal, grow, and better understand themselves and their relationships. I primarily work with individuals and children, supporting concerns related to communication, emotional connection, daily life stressors, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief, and I also enjoy supporting premarital couples and families as they work toward healthier, more connected relationships.
What I strive for most is providing a place where growth can happen at a pace that feels right for each person who walks through the door. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey.
